Don't you wish you could just focus on one thing and do it really, really well?
Fat chance. The nature of what you do -- taking on causes and issues and missions that are WAY bigger than your tiny staff can accomplish in just one lifetime -- demands you do 50 things at once.
The dilemma is that MARKETING requires FOCUS. It requires you to KNOW your target customers and craft a relevant, inspiring, moving message just for THEM.

Cindy Sink is a marketing and communications consultant, a.k.a. Personal Focus Assistant, who helps nonprofits identify a marketing focus and execute it effectively. Whether it's developing a marketing plan, creating a web site, writing a case for support, or producing a video, Cindy has helped dozens of organizations distill their many missions and activities into focused and inspiring stories that enroll members and donors.
Cindy gets her focusing skill from spending over 25 years in one of the most frenetic (yet creative) of environments: local television. She has participated in ongoing training in leadership, teamwork and communication skills for more than 10 years, including certification as a Crucial Conversations Trainer. She is a student of creative writing, in the process of developing a novel.
